This weeks message involves “LOVE” Jesus told us we are to do these two commandments’
- Love the Lord Your God with all your heart, and with all your soul.
- Love your neighbor as yourself.
Jesus here is telling us that love, hope, and humility far outweighed condemnation and hate and fear. Today we see, even in the Christian world, those who spew hate and condemnation. They walk around with their heads held high, like the Pharisees did in Mathew. We must never forget Satan can come as an angel of light. When you judge others you must be careful, because we are born in the flesh and we all have sin. Let Our Holy Father (In Heaven) Judge, for only he knows the heart of every man. God (Jehovah) wants us to try and live as His; “Only Begotten Son did. “ Yes, we will never be “Perfect” as Christ Jesus is, but we can show (everyday) what he told us in Mathew 22:37, Mark 12:30, and Luke 10:27
The bible speaks of many battles and bloodshed in the Old Testament, but the New Testament shows a different side to the life of a Christian. First is the One of: love, mercy, compassion, and witnessing of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection. Secondly in the New Testament God’s people are persecuted for their faith (which we will discuss next week.). . Bottom line here is this; love and show your Christian Compassion. For example, don’t hold signs condemning abortion. Instead show the love and compassion to those who are troubled with these decisions. God Our Heavenly Father has already won the battle; it’s our job to witness this. Not to judge others.
